Two submissions from Jessica just hit my in-box. Thanks, Jessica! Comment, y’all.  Got ideas of your own? Enter the contest!

Here’s a third batch from Chandra Jade. Drop a comment and let me know what you think.

Len Peralta, of Jawbone Radio, Monster by Mail and Jonathan Coulton’s VTAW fame, has submitted these two entries for the Eric Ginsberg and The New Originals art/logo contest. I think I’m gonna poop myself with excitement. Comment, people! And buy a monster from Len!

NOTE: Len and I have exchanged e-mails to the tune of “something belongs in the black space in the top right corner of the first image.”  We can’t figure out what, though.  Your suggestions?

The result of some feedback and some fresh ideas, here is a second round of submissions from Ms. Katie Biese.

Perhaps something I ought to mention: I sincerely appreciate most of these logos being one color (’cause printing one color merch is way cheaper, and stamping the logo on stuff is easier when it’s B+W). That said, the only color rules to the contest are that the logo should be one color with a different color background (and even that isn’t such a hard-set rule), and though I’ve been getting a lot of black logo on white background, if you create something that really only comes through (or you feel comes through better) in another chromatic variation, go for it!

This next submitter asked to remain Anonymous. No sweat. I realize something, though, that is probably my fault for not saying so (as I’ve received a few submissions like this): it’s “The”, not “the”. Grammar be damned, that’s what I’m looking for. Y’all better be commenting on this stuff! I need your feedback! To enter the contest, click here for details.

Aviva used Marnie Mitchell-Lister pop-art of a Derek Gross photo to make what is more of a flyer that she has deemed a goofy thrown-together bit. I’m definitely going for more of a text thing, which she quickly realized, but I sincerely appreciate the image and look forward to more!

Frequent “You” section submitter, Chandra Jade, gets in on the action! WOOT! I got these Friday but didn’t have the time to post them. Sorry it took me so long.

I dig the joke logos as much as I dig the real submissions. Lord knows I’d get sued for using this, but I do enoy the chuckle. It’d be an awesome trucker hat or a belt buckle.

Katie Beise submits these 4 ideas.  Comment below, be constructive, stay nice, click here to enter the contest.

My site’s been flakey. I’ve been up tech support’s ass. All they can tell me is, “I have checked the issues and there is and global issue regarding MySQL database and we are aware of the issue and working on it and will be fixed soon.”

In the meanwhile you should be aware that the Art Contest (see below) is still going on. The due date is March 15th. So get ‘em in. I’m just so frickin’ antsy for then, ’cause that’s when I start playing out again after taking a few months off (I needed the break, but now I’m ready to get back out and rock your little worlds).

Aside from that, life is goooooood. I’ve been writing while you’ve missed me. The band has a solid line-up. I got the raddest shoes. I’ll see you soon. (get in those contest submissions)
