Archive for the “Uncategorized” CategoryI’m on a role! Here’s what I’ve accomplished: Head banner (replaced) Still to do: Progress is progressively progressing! Long have I been putting off fixing up good ol’ EricGinsberg.com, but the project is now underway. Updates: Fixes: On the short to-do list: I’m working on it, people! Holy crap! Maybe I’ll start updating this site more now! I know I have a lot to do with updating the store and especially the You section, but it’s a sincere start. No upcoming shows ’cause I’m busy working on a semi-secret project for now. More info to come and hopefully a full release for Disconnect, a new EP, and maybe even a new band in 2010. Tour was great. Headed back to AL, TN, and VA in Dec. Again, more info to come. Thanks for hanging in there! Booked for TV spots in VA, NC, GA, AL, TN and WI for now (various combinations of ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX). Looking for gigs while I’m there. Aug 16 – Belmar, NJ – Butterfly Garden (1006 Main St.) – w/ Chris Brown (of Emory St.) & Alex Biese I keep my life in a notebook in my back pocket. I’ve been doing it for a decade. I have a drawer full of old ones. I’ve never lost one until yesterday. I left it on the train. It was already a terrible train experience wherein I got to the 5:29 at 5:27 only to find the doors already closed. I ran up and down the train, banging on doors and windows for a conductor to let me on, but they all just shrugged and after two minutes, the train pulled away. Destined to be late, I sat and waited for the 5:43. It showed up at 5:58 and left at 6:00. So now I’m 30 minutes late, but I sit down, take my notepad out of my back pocket (because it was hurting to sit on) and work on a sudoku. My stop comes, I get off the train and, in a few paces, pat all my pockets and realize my notebook is gone. I frantically search my bag, then run back through the melee of people to the first door. Closed! I find the window where my seat was and THERE IT IS! I pound and get the attention of the person who was next to me, he looks up, sees my notebook where I’m pointing, grabs it and runs for the door. I try to force them open with no luck. He takes out his blackberry. Not sure I can get my phone number out and clearly before the train pulls away, I start yelling my name, clearly and distinctly. “ERIC GINSBERG!” I repeat, ‘ERIC GINSBERG!” I’m running with the train. “Got it!?” He nods and the train speeds up until I can’t run with it anymore. Anyone who knows my name can find me on the internet pretty easily. This site is the first link that will come up. If you are reading this and you have my notebook, or know where it is, PLEASE press the comment button below and let me know how to contact you. I NEED that notebook! I need it. Please. Xenia Sky and I are playing the season opener at the Butterfly Meditation Garden today. I played it last year (and several times since), and it was wonderful. If you’re in the area or looking for an excuse to be, The Butterfly Meditation Garden is through and behind Lavender Moon, 1006 Main St., Bemlar, NJ. There’s free music, great Mexican food nearby, and butterflies. What more could you ask for? Last minute gig at the Lakewood Country Club, 145 Country Club Dr., in Lakewood. Apparently, it’s not an actual country club as the name(s) would imply, but rather a bar that is open to the public. I’m on from 9:00p-12:30a. Make it if you can. Shout stuff at me if you feel. Consult a physician if you need. Had a great time getting out and about along the Jersey Shore last weekend. Espresso Joe’s in Keyport was a packed house, as always, and the Butterfly Meditation Garden was full of good vibes and a plethora of hippies. All in all, a pretty rad weekend. Next weekend I’m off to Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massechuesets. Watch CBS-Hartford Friday at 6:30am and ABC-New Haven Saturday at 7am. I’ll keep you posted on the music. I’ve got some maybes in Bridgeport, Providence and Cambridge. Also, don’t forget my Photoshop contest is still going on. Submit your entry by April 30th. I’ve received my first official entry for the Photoshop contest!
